In case of emergency, dial 999 or 112, then ask for ‘Police’ then ‘Mountain Rescue’.

Happy #InternationalDogDay to all the search dogs and their handlers! You never know when you’ll need them! As of late 2017 there are 2 dogs (Honey and Saoirse) and handlers intensively training several times a week. These dogs will assist with DSRTP searches, but are also called upon more frequently to assist the emergency services regionally and nationally if required. There are more than 30 such trained dogs nationally according to the Mountain Rescue Search Dogs England

Dog handler Rob has a new puppy called Brooke, Rob is working with Honey to make Brooke the next search dog for the time.
