On a spectacularly clear and dry night, Bob and Gary devised a search and navigation exercise for the rest of the team, for this week’s training.
Six volunteers wandered off around Wigmore Down to try and hide from the rest of the team. The remaining members were split into three teams and given three different search areas to navigate and locate the missing people.
Typically the area had a plethora of gorse bushes and rather soggy gully’s, for those that were trying to hide from the rest of the group. Evasion tactics such as turning our reflective jackets inside out were used to try and foil the search teams.
Thankfully most of the missing teammates were located in good timing. The evening was a good chance to practice searching and was finished off with a debrief session at the local pub.
