As a charity, we rely on fundraising and community engagements to finance the running of the team. As we are all volunteers and time is a precious commodity, it was decided to set up “Friends of Rescue 4” group, who will help with these activities.
The candidates were invited to the Rescue Centre on Saturday morning to attend an information and introductory session. The day started with the history of the team and what we are all about, followed by several videos of some of the events we do. The applicants were then given a tour of the centre and also had a chance to see the kit that we use.
After a question and answer session, a lovely buffet was provided by Colin and Sonia which was tucked into rather merrily. The applicants were then also able to sign up to help with some of the upcoming events, with our next event being on Sunday the 15th March.
