In case of emergency, dial 999 or 112, then ask for ‘Police’ then ‘Mountain Rescue’.

The Mad March Hare is the second event of the year organised by the Plymouth Round Table with which the team is invited to help with. It is the same format as the January Jaunt, a 10K run starting at the Speedway track in Plympton which then follows a lovely route around the grounds of Saltram and back again. Our job was to be placed at marshal points throughout the route to keep the runners on the right track and give some moral boosting cheers.

Along with several members of the team we had some volunteers from our new supporter’s group Rescue 4. The group was formed to help work with the team at events and provide an extra level of support when needed. The members are made up of enthusiastic volunteers and will be a great asset to the team.

The weather wasn’t so kind on this event but the runners all seemed to enjoy themselves and made it round in great timing.

Thank you to those who volunteered to help and a special thank you goes to the race director Gary, for organising and for inviting us to help.
