Tonight’s training was a radio exercise created by Dave K. and Colin R. at Wigford Down. The aim of the exercise was to compare radio reception from various locations and to test our mobile repeater.
3 foot teams and a hasty team deployed either side of the River Plym, providing valuable communication information for our Search Managers. This location was chosen as it is close to a number of recent callout locations, including Cadover Bridge and The Dewerstone.
It was a beautiful evening as we enjoyed the Autumn light, before the realities of training during Winter on Dartmoor start to take effect.
