This week’s Tuesday training was in the hands of our Training Officer Darren, who had organised a Search and Rescue (SAR) Exercise starting from Shaugh Prior car park.
Four hill party teams were given the brief to locate and treat two casualties. After collecting the relevant kit and PPE required the teams set off to search in the areas that they had been given.
After thoroughly searching the areas the first casualty was located by one of the teams, under the Dewerstone. Two other teams were radioed by control and were instructed to make their way to assist.
On arrival at the Cas-site, one of the team was called away as the second casualty was located and need urgent care the casualty was deemed as a Priority 1 category whilst the other was a Priority 3.
After everyone was back at the RV, a debrief was conducted in which everyone felt that the evening had been a resounding success. Thank you to our Darren, for a great training evening.
