Saturday morning early the water section of our team where out training on the River Erme around Erme Woods.
As this is the first training since COVID it was back to the basics after buddy checks and going over the health and safety protocol we need to find two casualties in or around the river.
The team on river right found the first casualty with help of the team on river left he was brought to safety at that moment the MOD2 of team river left have found casualty number two, waiting for the arriving from the MOD3 (SRT) the MOD2 keep contact with the casualty till also he was brought to safety.
The SRT did some more river crossing using ropes and the MOD2’s where there as safety backups as not all SRT’s made it to the other side 😉
To finish the day all members did some trow bagging and bring swimmers safe to the riversides.
We would like to thank Howard and Dave N. for prefect training and John for arranging access to Erme Woods.
We remain operational at this difficult, responding to assist Devon & Cornwall Police in searching for vulnerable missing people.
Any support you are able to offer is even more important to us at this time, ensuring we are able to keep operational and available to our community.
