In case of emergency, dial 999 or 112, then ask for ‘Police’ then ‘Mountain Rescue’.

Tuesday training for this week saw the remaining trainees from this year’s cohort participate in their final exercise, with the hope of passing and becoming a fully-fledged member of the team. Due to the impending lockdown, things had to be done a bit different this year.

The RV for the night was at Trowlesworthy and the team assembled to be given the brief. Three casualties had to be located and treated in the area. The trainees had to demonstrate that they are competent in each of the areas that they have spent the last 11 months practising.

Both trainees excelled in each of the areas and passed their final exercise with flying colours.  Once trainees complete their training they are given a bag full of kit and also are able to wear the exclusive red jacket. We would like to wish Dave and George congratulations on their well-deserved success and we welcome you to the team.

We remain operational at this difficult, responding to assist Devon & Cornwall Police in searching for vulnerable missing people.

Any support you are able to offer is even more important to us at this time, ensuring we are able to keep operational and available to our community.

It is very easy to support the team by donation, using Amazon Smile or to choose us as your local cause at CO-OP you can also buy tickets from SeaMoor Lotto where you have every week chances to win up to 25.000 pounds. For more information how you can help using one of the banners on the right or look at How Can You Help Us.
