Devon & Cornwall Police requested the team responding to a call to support one of our fellow PenMaCRA teams Dartmoor Search and Rescue Team Tavistock. This was to assist in a search for a high-risk missing person.
Nine of our members made the journey down to the RV at Harrowbeer Airfield, Yelverton. The missing respondent reported to be ‘somewhere on Dartmoor by a tree’, so not much to go on!
Around 05:00 the police informed us that the misper had just called the Police from a phonebox in Yelverton, having been beyond Dousland most of the night.
We were pleased to offer Dartmoor Search and Rescue Team Tavistock some additional workforce for their search.
