With 2020 being a tough year for all charities, we were privileged and lucky to have had the Plymouth University Wilderness and Expedition Medicine Society (PUWEMS) run and hold the Dartmoor Way Challenge. We gratefully received a portion of the fundraising.
The event consisted of a 108-mile circular route around the edges of Dartmoor. The route covers woodland, steams and bridleways that many people have used over the years.
Teams of 6 had to complete the route in 48 hours. We were drafted to help man the second checkpoint and help with refreshments or any first aid requirements.
Well done, and congratulations to all of the people who took part in this monumental challenge and thank you so much to the PUWEMS for the donation, and we look forwards to seeing you again soon.
We remain operational at this difficult, responding to assist Devon & Cornwall Police in searching for vulnerable missing people.
Any support you are able to offer is even more important to us at this time, ensuring we are able to keep operational and available to our community.
It is very easy to support the team by donation, using Amazon Smile or to choose us as your cause at Easy Fundraising you can also buy tickets from SeaMoor Lotto where you have every week chances to win up to 25.000 pounds.
