Following a call from members of the public reporting they heard a male calling for help from the Piles Copse area of South Dartmoor, the police tasked the team to sweep the area.

Twenty team members assembled at New Waste to await tasking. They were split into three teams and transported up the track by the teams Land Rovers where they start their search areas after crossing the River Erme.

After a thorough search of the area, and with no one discovered, the team were stood down at 22:30

  • Total Volunteer hours: 91hrs 00mins
