Incident 07. | 03/04/2022 09.30

Combe Martin Multi-Agency Search Deployment.

On Sunday morning, Dartmoor Search & Rescue Team Plymouth were tasked by Devon & Cornwall Police to near Combe Martin, in North Devon, to assist with an ongoing multi-agency search for a high-risk missing person.
Team Members responded and searched alongside colleagues from the Police, the local Maritime and Coastguard Agency teams, Police Drones, Devon Cave Rescue Organisation, Surf Life Saving Devon and the Police Operational Support Group.
Ground Teams from DSRTP, a Police Drone Team, Police Dogs and Police OSG searched open farmland, steep woodland and tracks and footpaths in the area that the missing person might have walked. The Coastguard Search & Rescue Teams continued with searching coastal searches around the wider Combe Martin area, with Devon Cave Rescue Organisation searching a cave nearby.
Sadly, despite the best efforts of all those searching today and over the previous days, the search remains inconclusive and Police inquiries are ongoing.

⚠️ Remember if you need assistance, dial 999 or 112, ask for the Police and then Mountain Rescue.
