In case of emergency, dial 999 or 112, then ask for ‘Police’ then ‘Mountain Rescue’.

On Saturday 4 of our members made the journey down to St. Day to the Rescue Centre of our sister team West Cornwall Search and Rescue Team.

The Police have been running training week of 6 days to train up their new LPSM’s (Lost Person Search Managers) and on the last day, they need to run a search for real. For this exercise, there were members of WCSRT, ECSRT, DSRTP, HM Coastguard Search and Rescue, USAR Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue and the Police Drone team.

All the assets where trow at the trainees at the differed moment in the morning to keep the pressure on after lunch they went from one misper to three misper’s putting the trainees on even more pressure to put the right assets in the right place to get the good result.

Lucky for the mispers and the trainees all mispers were found safe and the trainees are now ready to start a new case in their police job as LPSM.

From all of us at DSRTP an big well done 👍 sure we will meet again one of the jobs in the future.

We remain operational at this difficult, responding to assist Devon & Cornwall Police in searching for vulnerable missing people.

Any support you are able to offer is even more important to us at this time, ensuring we are able to keep operational and available to our community.

It is very easy to support the team by donation, using Amazon Smile or to choose us as your local cause at CO-OP you can also buy tickets from SeaMoor Lotto where you have every week chances to win up to 25.000 pounds. For more information how you can help using one of the banners on the right or look at How Can You Help Us.
