The type of personal information we collect
We currently collect and process the following information:
Name, date of birth and medical information relating to first aid treatment provided to casualties found whilst carrying out searches
Email address, home address and telephone number for those attending events that we facilitate
How we get the personal information and why we have it
Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:
Medical information is required to be passed onto ambulance or paramedics
Personal data in the form of email addresses are held by the team for providing information about future events that people may be interested in attending
We also receive personal information indirectly, from the following sources in the following scenarios:
Information about those that make donations to the team
We use the information that you have given us in order to:
As a team we value any and all donations given by members of the public. We always try to contact the donor to provide thanks and also invite them to our Rescue Centre to see more of the team and what we do.
We only share the medical information with ambulance service or paramedics. No other information provided to the team is shared.
Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are:

Information provided to the team members is either:
From a casualty or a casualties friend or family member when first aid treatment has been provided or when someone requests information about events we are holding or general information about the team.
How we store your personal information
Your information is securely stored in locked cabinets within the Rescue Centre. This information will be destroyed after a month.
We keep medical information for the shortest possible time. We will then dispose of this information by shredding any paper copies or deleting information on any electronic device(s).

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
