The team is been involve in big search this last week in and around Ivybridge for a high risk missing male.

Incident 21. | 24/11 13:50

On Tuesday afternoon the Devon & Cornwall Police requested a full team callout to search for a high risk missing male, at 15:24 or sister team from Ashburton was a callout to assist us with the search.

On arrival at Ivybridge, Members were put in teams to start searching the area, with no sighting of the missing male, a halt to the search was called at approximately 20:00hrs, with the likelihood to resume searching the following day.

  • Total Volunteer hours: 147hrs 0mins

Incident 22. | 25/11 10:00

On Wednesday as expected Devon & Cornwall Police callout the team to resume our search in the Ivybridge for the missing male. With no sighting of the missing male, a halt to the search was called at approximately 16:30hrs, with the likelihood to resume searching the following day.

Our control vehicle DART74 was stranded on the side of the road with clutch problem after some calling around we found a local garage “Victoria Garage Ivybridge LTD” that got fix this for us. They help us out big time did they not only fix the clutch very fast for us (2 days) they also charge us only labour cost, and this is a big help to the team. BIG THANK YOU 👍🏻 to the team at Victoria Garage!

On Thursday Devon & Cornwall Police requested the water asset from the team (12 SRT (MOD3) and 3 MOD2) to come out to search the River Erme, Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Service deployed 5 SRT to assist with the search. With no sighting of the missing male, a halt to the search was called at approximately 16:30hrs, with the likelihood to resume searching the following day.

On Friday as expected Devon & Cornwall Police callout the team to resume our search in the Ivybridge for the missing male. With no sighting of the missing male, a halt to the search was called at approximately 16:30hrs, with the likelihood to resume searching the following day.

On Saturday as expected Devon & Cornwall Police callout the team to resume our search in the Yealmpton for the missing male. With no sighting of the missing male, a halt to the search was called at approximately 12:30hrs, police enquiries continue.

In Attendance:

  • Devon & Cornwall Police
  • Total duration: 2hrs 30mins
  • Total Volunteer hours: 62hrs 30mins

On today’s callout our Land Rover Defender DART54 contract a problem with reversing it looks like it has a cylinder issue that is now looking at by Jack Fielder Land Rover at will hopefully back on the road by the end of Monday
