Devon & Cornwall Police requested our assistance at 03.00 to locate a missing person in Newton Ferrers.
 
16 team members quickly mustered in the centre of Newton Ferrers, along with teams from the Maritime and Coastguard Agency and D&C Police. Two large DSRTP teams searched woodland on the edge of the village, but to no avail.
 
Rescue 924 helicopter from Newquay searched along the River Yealm and coastal areas, RNLI Plymouth Lifeboat Station searched the water and Coastguard Rescue Teams from Bigbury, Yealm and Plymouth Coastguard Rescue Team searched around the Yealm and Noss Mayo.
 
All DSRTP team members were stood down at 08.15 pending further enquiries. The team were later informed that the missing person had been found by Rescue 924 and the Coastguard Rescue teams.
